Egg Face Mask

Since for centuries are the symbol of spring as well as new beginnings, they have been used by women for quite some time now in order to cure dry skin. Eggs are really rich with protein and lecithin, which is a natural lubricant for the skin. If you add some sour cream to this mix you’ll slough off dead skin cells, too! Here’s how you prepare this amazing face mask – the ingredients you’ll need are 1 raw egg, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of sour cream, you mix it all together and then slather over your face and neck. Let the mask sit for 15-20 minutes then rinse with warm water!

Carrot Buttermilk Mask

For those of you with oily skin types, spring is when nature brings your skin’s cure, also known as the vitamin A laden carrot. What you’ll need to make this amazing recipe is 2 tablespoons of fresh carrot juice and 2 tablespoons powdered buttermilk. Mix the juice and buttermilk until you get a smooth paste. Then, spread the mixture over your clean skin and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove by rinsing with warm water and gently pat your face dry with a towel! Don’t you just feel amazing now?

Lettuce Cleansing Lotion

Lettuce makes a perfect cleansing solution to soothe wind-burned or aggravated skin. It is rich with vitamins, sulfur, silicon and phosphorous — all which help to naturally restore your skin’s pH level and balance your complexion. The ingredients you’ll need are 1/2 head of lettuce, 4 cups of water and  1/8 teaspoon of benzoin (found at the drugstore) . Put the lettuce in a saucepan and cover it with the water, then place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Once boiling, lower the heat and simmer for one hour. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool completely. Strain all the solids and stir in the benzoin. Pour into a clean bottle and use the lotion to cleanse your skin in the morning or at night!

Royal rose toner

Roses are not only springs most romantic flowers but luckily for our skin they’re also a powerful natural astringent which works beautifully at removing dirt as well as oil from our skin. The ingredients you’ll need to prepare yourself this fabulous toner are: 1 tablespoon of dried rose petals, 1 cup of white wine vinegar and  1/2 cup of rosewater. Mix together the rose petals and vinegar and let the mixture sit for at least two weeks. Then, strain and stir in the rosewater. Pour into a spray bottle and mist your face or spray on a clean cotton ball and swipe over your skin after cleansing!
